|Notes for this activity:||Learn not only the various techniques of acrylic painting, but how to achieve the best results using them. Designed for the beginning as well as an advanced students.|
After 1st Class Supplies needed: Water will not be available. You will need to bring a container that you can put water into. DO NOT USE THE DRINKING FOUNTAIN TO CLEAN BRUSHES, ETC. FRED DOES BRING WATER FOR THAT. Brushes-1/2 in flat brush, #6 round, #4 round, Liner Brush, Fan Brush (stiff), Paint-titanium white, mars black, burnt umber, burnt sienna, azo yellow medium, yellow ochre, ultramarine blue, raw umber, sap green, cerulean blue hue, napthol red medium. Tape- Painters tape (green), Painters tape (blue), NOTE: These tapes are quick release and will not harm your work. Support: Canvas panel hardboard NOTE: Must be gessoed. Canvas will be explained at first class (he will do a demo). Palette- Disposable plastic plates or butcher tray. Masking fluid- Winsor & Newton (NOT PERMANENT) Cheap brushes for masking. Graphite paper- Black. Water container - small cup. Paper towels, Easel will be table or table easel (optional). Kitchen sponge. Most of these supplies can be purchased at Hobby Lobby. A 40% coupon is available in your local newspaper or on-line most days. Please note: If the Highland Schools close due to severe weather, call to see if classes are cancelled.
